Description
For more than two decades, endodontists have relied on the Root ZX Apex Locator for quick and accurate readings. Now, Morita introduces a safer way to clean and enlarge canals – the new Root ZX II OTR Low-Speed Handpiece Module. With a revolutionary file advancement feature, OTR reduces file fatigue, as well as the possibility of file breakage. Lightweight, the handpiece is ergonomically designed to minimize fatigue and fingertip stress and is ideal for endodontic access.
Compatible with the Root ZX II Apex Locator
The OTR Module snaps easily onto the back of the Root ZX II Apex Locator allowing the clinician to measure and prepare the canal at the same time.
Root ZX II will measure in both wet or dry canal conditions with class-leading accuracy of 97.5%
OTR Low-Speed Handpiece Module - How It Works
The Root ZX II Low-Speed Handpiece with OTR technology prepares root canals while displaying precise and accurate measurements. During file rotation, the torque is automatically measured. If the torque is less than the set value, the file rotation continues, but if the torque has reached the set value, the file reverses rotation by 90° and then continues in the cutting direction once again. OTR reduces file fatigue, as well as the possibility of file breakage.
OTR offers 3-speed settings of 100, 300, and 500 RPM and 3 programmable memory modes. The module also offers operation in Normal Mode without the Optimum Torque Reverse function. In Normal Mode, 8-speed settings from 150 rpm to 800 RPM and 11 torque settings are available. This mode is useful for opening the upper part of the canal.
OTR Handpiece Features
Lightweight, the OTR handpiece is ergonomically designed to minimize fatigue and fingertip stress and is ideal for endodontic access. It is compatible with standard Ni-Ti files, no need to purchase any special type of files for this unit.
The contra head has an internal file electrode which allows for more working length during procedures.
