This new BioSonic Optimist ultrasonic inserts pair with the upgraded BioSonic US200 Ultrasonic Scaler available in as 25kHz and 30kHz with a textured grip for stability and improved tactility. Choose from the classic grip or SuperSoft featuring a cushioned surface for increased comfort and reduce hand fatigue.

The BioSonic US200 Scaler Inserts are comprised of metal strips that resonate and cause an elliptical motion in the scaler tip. The outer part of the scaler tip vibrates in the driving frequency and amplitude chosen by the dentist. The scaler is capable of accepting both 25 and 30kHz inserts from the BioSonic brand as well as competitors and automatically detects which insert is in-use so that no switch is needed on the unit. Activation of the scaler and the setting of the output mode in normal vs. turbo are controlled by the operator via the foot pedal.
