Our carbide cutting heads are made with high quality fine-grain tungsten carbide, which produces a blade that is sharper, and wears longer compared to less expensive coarse grain tungsten carbide.

Blades made of fine grain tungsten carbide, retain shape even as they wear. Less expensive, large particle tungsten carbide dulls quickly as the large particles break from the blade or cutting edge. Trimming and Finishing Carbides are offered in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, which are essential for achieving optimal esthetic results. DIFFERENT SHAPES:

Flame: Useful in establishing and defining pit and fissure anatomy.

AVAILABLE SIZES: FG 7104, 7106, 7108.

Taper Finishing: Ideal for trimming excess material on anterior labial surfaces or the cervical portion of any tooth. Available in Needle point, Round End and Flat End shapes in multiple lengths to match any contouring challenge.

AVAILABLE SIZES: FG 7204, 7205, 7214, 7702, 7703, 7713.

Egg: For contouring or placing anatomy on posterior occlusal surfaces. Also suitable for smoothing and shaping anterior lingual surfaces.

AVAILABLE SIZES: FG 7404, 7406.

Bullet: Ideal for initial definition of fissures and anatomy in posterior teeth.

AVAILABLE SIZES: FG 7801, 7802, 7803.

Needle: For establishing anatomical pits and fissures in occlusal surfaces.
